I'm Kate Bird and I'm a Personal Colour & Stylist at Colour me Kate, located in the Perth Hills of Western Australia. And for more than a decade I've helped women to feel good about how they look in the clothes they wear - and then show them now to go forth to reclaim their identity.

I am also a menopausal, middle-aged woman, and I reckon that THIS can actually be the best time of our lives!

The stories on this podcast will inspire other mid-life women who feel they've lost their identity and that they no longer have much to offer the world.

Hello, I'm Kate Bird and I'm a Personal Colour & Stylist at my business, Colour me Kate, in Western Australia.

I've worked with over a thousand women in the past dozen years to help them feel confident in the way they look and feel.

As a middle-aged, menopausal woman, I realised that women like me are being undeservedly overlooked.

Women over 40 have the best life stories, the most compassion, the most lived experience, the best senses of humour and the most humility they've ever had in their lives before.

But it's also a time of physical, mental and emotional suffering as menopause arrives and women begin to question their identity.

I began the podcast in 2024 to share the personal stories of these women to help others listening realise that they're not alone.

And I've woven a thread personal styling anecdotes throughout my guests' stories.
